“Homotoxicology is about present
day Biophysics immunopathology and biological molecular activity
within the scenario of a holistically scientifically diagnostic
of the nature of disease”
Hans
Heinrich Reckeweg
In other words it is about your bodies’ battle against toxins
and your bodies’ ability to deal with and excrete them. Failure
to do so disturbs the normal equilibrium of the bodies’ functions
resulting in
- lowered vitality
- abnormal composition of blood and lymph
- accumulation of toxins
Health is not a static condition and is dependent on
- good nutrition
- regular exercise
- belief systems which encourage health and longevity environmental
pollution avoidance
Dr Reckeweg was an allopathic doctor, a naturopath and a homeopath
and has combined the three approaches within Homotoxicology to help
patients detox and eliminate toxins from their systems.
The homotoxicological approach is to give the patient the correct
building blocks and environment to allow the patient to self regulate
and self heal as Mother Nature intended. As qualified homotoxicologist
I use homeopathic remedies, naturopathic supplements and common sense
to aid the detox process.
Homotoxicology and Detoxification
The Autoregulatory system is the bodies’ first
line of defence against any invading toxin in your system. If this
is not successful in dealing with the
toxin, the matrix or ground regulation system (the matrix is the
milieu or “glue” that holds the cells together) will
be activated as it is the barrier between the cell and the effector
organs of the Autoregulatory system. Only when these two defences
fail will the toxin enter the cell.

In treating with antihomotoxic remedies it is important to know at which level the toxins reside which Dr Reckeweg put into his six phase table. The Autoregulatory system covers the humoural phases of inflammation and excretion. If the toxicity persists, it will be driven into the matrix phases, deposition and impregnation, and then followed by the cellular phases of degeneration and aberrant replication.
In treating deeper levels of intoxification, it is important to first restore the Autoregulatory system. This is the first line of defence and by restoring it , we can facilitate the excretion of the offending toxin.
Although the liver, kidneys, mucous membranes (Respiratory, Gastrointestinal and Genitourinary) and skin are the primary organs of detoxification, it is important to realise that the individual components of the Autoregulatory system cannot be separated as they act together and share and produce some of the same chemicals and receptors.
