ZOOM 2

Your smile is important. It is the first thing people notice when they meet you for the first time. A beautiful smile can make you feel good about yourself and boost your confidence. You can also look and feel great always, and not just for the special occasion.

“Where your inner smile meets your outer smile”

I introduced the Zoom 2 tooth whitening system to my clinic in June 06. Until then I had been reluctant to use any in chair whitening systems available as I thought that they were too aggressive and there were numerous reports of post treatment sensitivity.

The Zoom 2 works differently from its predecessor and their trial show a 67% reduction in significant sensitivity.  This version does not heat the nerve as in the previous machine. Overall the patient receives a more effective and faster treatment with lower sensitivity

The procedure is a three step procedure.

  1. An initial appointment is made to check your medical history and I will take an impression of your teeth and will custom make trays for your  home whitening follow up treatment.
  2. Second stage is in chair whitening during this procedure we placed a protective coating around the gums to act as a barrier to the whitening gel. The whitening gel is then painted on the teeth this is used in conjunction with a specially designed ultraviolet lamp to achieve maximum whitening results. This procedure is repeated twice.
  3. Third stage is the home aftercare systems including a desensitory agent and a short course of at home whitening using the trays that were custom made for you to enhance the whitening effect of the in chair treatment
